There have been a number of incidents like this since the initial bomb scare in Times Square took place and the one before this was when someone left a U-Haul truck abandoned in the middle of the RFK bridge. The police and bomb squad had gone to find out that the abandoned truck wasn’t any threat but the bridge had still been closed for the time that the checking was taking place and then the next day the traffic was reopened to the bridge.
