Once your student gets their driving permit they will need to be covered as a licensed driver on your vehicle that they are practicing in. You may be able to add them in this case. If you have insurance already for anyone driving your car you may be okay but make sure this is a fact before you start out. Call your insurance company and ask them specifically.

So don't go grey looking for the best car insurance for teenagers. Check with your own company first and go from there. See what your current insurance coverage is if you don't know. If you have to get a new policy with a company you can do that too to keep your premium low.
